About Screen Saver Desktop Shortcuts

The installations of Parry Sound Area Screen Saver Series One and/or Parry Sound Area Screen Saver Series Two include separate desktop shortcuts to quickly launch either screen saver. These shortcuts prove handy to let you view the images immediately by double-clicking the respective icon. The shortcuts provide a quick means of launching a screen saver for immediate privacy should you need to leave your work station.

Although the installations of either screen saver series automatically include a desktop shortcut, you can opt to delete the shortcut by right-clicking on the respective shortcut, and clicking on Delete from the pop-down menu. This does not effect or remove the installation(s) of the respective screen saver(s). The desktop shortcuts are named 'Parry Sound One' and 'Parry Sound Two' respectfully for Parry Sound Area Screen Saver Series One and Parry Sound Area Screen Saver Series Two.

About Folders Desktop Shortcuts
As an option, you may want to consider creating a desktop shortcut to the folder(s) in which your image files are located.

A Desktop Shortcut to Folder containing Images

To create a folder shortcut launch Windows Explorer.

1. Access Windows Explorer by clicking the Start button on your screen.
Click Programs and click Windows Explorer (may be under Accessories)
Your Desktop may also contain a Windows Explorer shortcut.

2. Click hard drive (generally labelled with drive letter (C:)) and look in right panel for folder containing images. If images were installed with CD-ROM Distribution Disk, folder will be labelled 'PS_Images'. If images were installed manually, the folder could and may be labelled with a different name. The folder containing the image files on your hard drive can also be located in the left panel of Windows Explorer by clicking the '+' sign next to the hard drive label to expand the hard drive view.

3. Right-click on the folder 'PS_Images' and select Send To. Next click on Desktop (create Shortcut). A shortcut like the one in the illustration above will appear on your computer's desktop. Follow the steps above should you wish to delete the shortcut at any time. Note, that deleting the folder shortcut does not delete the folder(s) or contents of the folder(s).
